Gold Capital Partners Appoints Matt Barton President of the Mountain States Region of Gold Nation Mountain States
Gold Capital Partners — March 19th, 2026 — Gold Capital Partners (GCP) announced that Matt Barton has been appointed President of the Mountain States Region of Gold Nation, supporting the continued growth and momentum of Gold Nation across Utah and Arizona.
Barton brings more than 25 years of leadership and entrepreneurial experience in the real estate industry, with a track record of building, scaling, and leading through some of the most challenging periods in modern real estate history, including the post-9/11 market disruption, the Great Recession, and the market shifts brought on during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He began his career as a successful real estate agent before becoming a brokerage partner and eventually the owner of his own firm. After selling that brokerage, Barton helped scale the acquiring brokerage as its Principal Broker, leading operations and growth for seven years as the company expanded to more than 500 agents.

In addition to his brokerage leadership, Barton has played an active role in shaping the real estate industry through governance and advocacy. He served nearly 10 years on the Board of UtahRealEstate.com, including two terms as Board Chair, during which time subscriber growth expanded to nearly 20,000 real estate professionals. He has also served as a Local Association President, a member of the Utah Association of Realtors Legislative Committee, and as a Realtors Political Action Committee Trustee.
In his new role, Barton will focus on strengthening the Gold Nation presence throughout the Mountain States, supporting brokers and agents with a collaborative, ownership-driven model that helps them build more durable, profitable, and scalable businesses.
